THE 2,886-guest cruise ship, Celebrity Silhouette, arrived into Southampton for its first summer season of sailing from the UK this morning.
It docked at about 5am, marking the ninth year that the luxury cruise line Celebrity Cruises has had a ship sailing from the city.
Featuring a real grass lawn, a wine tower spanning two decks and an alfresco dining spot atop the ship, the Celebrity Silhouette offers holidays across Europe.
It replaces the Celebrity Eclipse which sailed from Southampton for eight summers since its launch in 2010 and has moved to Dublin for summer 2018.
Jo Rzymowska, vice president and managing director, Celebrity Cruises, UK, Ireland and Asia, said: “We’re excited to bring Celebrity Silhouette to Southampton, offering guests new luxurious experiences to try out on their holidays."
