TEACHERS at a Hampshire infant school are celebrating after inspectors said their school is "good."
And head teacher Michelle Hale puts the success down to "building relationships" at Manor Infants.
She said: "We are really proud of the positive comments and the fact that parents were so positive as well.
"I think it's about building relationships. We have a really positive induction programme and I think it makes a difference.
I greet the pupils every morning at the gate." But she also cited the "huge" outside space as a bonus for the pupils - who use them "every single day."
The youngsters take part in the New Forest Sports partnership - which gives them a chance to compete against other schools.
Ms Hale said: "We only have 87 children on roll so it's nice for our children to be able to compete with other schools."
Numbers have risen since Ms Hale started at the school in 2014 - and have gone up from 61. But it's still one form entry.
She added: "The results are on an upwards trend."
In March school inspectors said Ms Hale leads with "strong determination" and the school is going "from strength to strength."
They added: "At the heart of your school are a strong family atmosphere and clearly defined values. Staff work diligently to uphold "love, trust and truth." Writing on Parent View one parent said: "My child has gained so much confidence since starting at Manor Infant School. Seeing the progress he has made, particularly in reading and mathematics, has been like magic before my eyes."
