A 25-year old father has been charged with the murder of his three-week old son.
Kitt Donald Wilson appeared before magistrates court after being charged last night with the crime.
The young baby boy, Trent Wilson, died at Southampton General Hospital on March 9 of this year.
Wilson, who did not enter a plea during his appearance at Bournemouth magistrates court, simply confirmed his name, address and date of birth from the dock.
No application was made for bail and Wilson, of Seafield Road in Southbourne, Bournemouth, who turned 25 yesterday, was remanded in custody.
He is now due to appear before Winchester Crown Court next week for a preliminary hearing in connection with the offence.
