BONNY baby Ellis Harvey is today named as the Daily Echo Child of the Year 2007.
With his blond hair, green eyes and cheeky grin, readers went gaga for the nine-month-old from Fair Oak, who beat more than 1,000 entries.
Hundreds of readers had the tough job of voting for a winning baby in the competition, which was sponsored for the 12th consecutive year by The Mall Marlands shopping centre in Southampton.
As ever, standards were extremely high in the four categories.
Overjoyed Ellis' parents, Claire Sims and Rich Harvey, of Stubbington Way, were overjoyed when they discovered the news.
Claire said: "I was left shaking when I was told. I think he won because he looks so happy in the photograph, with his big smile and clapping away."
