A WINCHESTER woman battling alcohol problems is likely to be evicted on her release from prison.

Winchester County Court heard that Fiona Kennedy perpetrated a "catalogue of antisocial behaviour" that affected her neighbours.

Along with excessive drinking, she called on them around the clock to ask for more alcohol.

She was jailed in April, the court heard, although the reason was unspecified, and was given a two-year antisocial behaviour order the following month. The ASBO states that she could not drink in public or request alcohol from neighbours.

Her landlord, A2 Winchester, also started proceedings to reclaim her three-bedroom home in Ringlet Way, Winnall, claiming Ms Kennedy owed rent of around £3,800.

In addition to the debt, A2 Winchester cited the 47-year-old's behaviour as a reason to reclaim the property.

Ms Kennedy apologised and her legal team challenged some allegations against her, saying they were "hearsay".

Ms Kennedy joined Alcoholics Anonymous while in prison, and was due for release within weeks.

Recorder Stephen Hofmeyr QC ruled in favour of A2 Winchester, and ordered Ms Kennedy to meet the unpaid rent, and repair bills of around £640 to the property.
