A PLANE has crashed in a field near Winchester this afternoon.
The light aircraft came down in a field in Morestead just after 3pm.
Emergency services raced to the scene at 3.17pm, with firefighters from Winchester, Eastleigh, Redbridge and Bishop's Waltham all attending.
The plane came down in trees and bushes across farmland off Morestead Road.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said that the two occupants, both men, managed to escape after the crash, and were in the care of South Central Ambulance Service.
On social media, police said those inside had been 'two of the luckiest people in the UK' and walked away with only scratches.
