MOTORISTS travelling on the westbound carriageway of the M27 have experienced major delays following a serious accident at junction eight.
A motorcyclist is believed to have been injured after hitting the motorway's central reservation following a burst tyre.
A woman who was riding pillion is also believed to have been injured in the accident that happened at 2.18pm this afternoon.
Paramedics and an emergency care doctor were called to the scene as well as South Central Ambulance's new emergency helicopter.
