The grieving partner of a 30-year-old motorcyclist killed in a collision with a lorry at Southampton Container Terminal has paid tribute to him.

Jax Fovargues, 32, said that she did not know what she would do following the death of her long-term boyfriend Shannon Passingham.

"I am not sure what I am going to do without him. He was my entire life. Everything in my life was Shannon," she said.

The couple, of Heather Road, Fawley, met at The Angel pub in Southampton ten years ago and have a five-year-old daughter, Anna.

Since April Shannon, who grew up in the Lordshill area and attended Millbrook Community School, had been working as a straddle crane operator.

Traffic police are appealing for witnesses to the accident, in Western Avenue, within Southampton Container Terminal, last Wednesday at 2.20pm.

Shannon died after his Suzuki motorbike collided with an articulated lorry. The accident happened as the lorry turned right into Shannon's path.
