HUNDREDS of people helped raise thousands of pounds for charity as the annual Stubbington Fayre basked in the late summer sun.
The event was opened with a carnival procession through the village led by the marching band from the Nautical Training Corp's Training Ship Tenacity, based in Portchester.
The procession ended at the Stubbington Recreation Ground where dozens of stalls had been set up selling everything from craft work to art and from bric-a-brac to food and drink.
The fayre, which is run in association with the Fareham Lions Club and was opened by the Mayor of Fareham, saw everything from a donkey derby to train rides, while there was also a dedicated children's area for younger visitors and a fun fair.
