FIREFIGHTERS were called to the rescue of a deer that became stuck in a gate in a Hampshire village.
The animal was trapped in the gate in Normandy Close, Rownhams, for around half an hour at around 8.30am yesterday morning.
Firefighters from Redbridge Hill and Eastleigh stations as well as a rural safety officer helped to free the deer.
