Youngsters in Hampshire are celebrating after their zest for learning and curious nature won them top marks by Ofsted inspectors.

Yellow Dot Nursery in Chandler's Ford has been hailed as outstanding in all areas of nursery education following a recent visit by inspectors.

The nursery, which has 112 children on its roll, ticked all the boxes with particular praise given to the delight that the youngsters gained from learning.

The reports said: "The children are cared for in a stimulating, child friendly environment where they thrive and show exceptional levels of independence.

"Children show a zest for learning and delight in their time at nursery. Babies thrive in their relaxed base room and toddlers relish their creative activities."

The glowing report also highlighted the nursery's excellent management, which hugely influences the relaxed and happy atmosphere where laughter from both the staff and children fills the nursery.
