HUGE gold earrings, unzipped jogging bottoms, the odd sovereign ring or three, baseball caps and, of course, something in Burberry-style check.
These are among the must-have fashion accessories for any self-respecting chav, and it would seem that if you live in Southampton, the chances are you've been seeing a lot more of them lately.
That is because the city has made it into a list of the "chaviest" places in the country.
According to a website dedicated to all things chav, Southampton is one of the most written and read about examples of the trend.
For a city aspiring to find a "wow" factor, being nicknamed "Chavhampton" is not exactly the sort of accolade that fits the bill.
Southampton has articles about it featured in chavtown.co.uk's top ten list of most read, and several feature on the site's most popular posts.
Thornhill, Lordshill, Shirley, Swaythling, Northam, St Mary's and Millbrook are all targeted as examples of areas "over-run" by chavs.
Among the complaints, the anonymous authors talk of their disgust at the predominating fashion sense and antisocial behaviour of the "chavist sub-culture".
