THE biggest Goodwood Revival yet was clearly a winner with crowds and participants alike - and the weather played fair too.
That was a real bonus for the enthusiasts - 6,000 more than the previous record from 2005 and last year - who went the extra mile to wear often glamorous period costume from the circuit's heyday of 1948-1966.
But as a race meeting there were accolades from the aces, like Sir Stirling Moss, Jackie Ickx - six-times Le Mans winner and now Monaco Grand Prix clerk of course - and bike ace Wayne Gardner (see next page).
Organiser Lord March proudly saluted the crowds - and served up champagne and iced cake for all.
