THE south coast will be transformed into a heaven for hovercraft enthusiasts this weekend as all things hover descends on Lee-on-the-Solent.

From the world's oldest hovercraft to the modern-day giants that have graced Hollywood screens in James Bond movies, hovers of every shape, size and age will be on display.

The Hovershow 2007, which is being held at the Hovercraft Museum, will give hover lovers the chance to watch live demonstrations, view a collection of historic hovercrafts and even jump on board for a tour of the cockpit.

Visitors will also get the opportunity to watch as a human-powered hovercraft attempts to take to the water complete with passenger and reach new heights on a helicopter ride.

You can view the wide variety of hovercraft on display today and Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
