THE Princess of Wales Royal Regiment, nicknamed The Tigers, is coming home to Eastleigh tomorrow in a bid to give youngsters a taste of what life in the Army is like.
Since 2003 the regiment has been on two major operational tours in Iraq, shooting dead one of Osama bin Laden's right-hand men in Basra.
Serving soldiers will be hosting displays and exhibitions at the Leigh Road Recreation Ground on Saturday from 10.30am to 4pm.
Councillor Chris Thomas, chairman of Eastleigh Local Area Committee, said: "It is an honour to welcome The Princess of Wales Royal Regiment to Eastleigh 16 years after they were awarded the Freedom of the Borough.''
