The largest importer of French wine into the UK has been named as the driver who died in a car accident near Little Somborne.
Thierry Cabanne, 62, a French national, was driving a blue Renault estate when it left the road and hit a telegraph pole early on Thursday.
Mr Cabanne lived locally and had been a resident in the UK since moving from France in the 1960s.
When he came to London he opened his first restaurant.
He then went on to set up Thierry's Wine Services in 1981, which became one of the country's leading wine brokers. Thierry's Wine Services is now the single largest importer of French wine into Britain.
Mr Cabanne's family were travelling to the UK from Paris over the weekend.
