JUST 24 hours after the final night of one of Hampshire's most notorious nightclubs descended into violence, plans for its demolition have been revealed.
Although the Earth Bar and Club in Eastleigh has until tomorrow to appeal against the decision to revoke its licence, site owners Inntown Properties have submitted plans to redevelop the area.
It is believed the plans will see an eight-storey building replace the troubled nightspot, in upper Market Road, with flats, shops and restaurants.
Dozens of police from across Hampshire were drafted in and made seven arrests after violence flared in the early hours of Sunday.
The club was forced to close after losing its licence last month following a report presented to licensing chiefs citing more than 140 incidents of trouble outside the club.
