ARTISTS have brought their music to the city as a popular musical extravaganza returned.
More than 1,000 musicians preformed across 21 venues across Southampton as Music in the City returned.
This year's event marked a decade of promoting the area’s best musicians and enabling them to play in unique and historical locations.
Musicians entertained residents and visitors throughout the weekend playing at venues including Holyrood Church, Westquay Esplanade and The Dancing Man Brewery.
New for this year was a performance area in Oxford Street and venues such as Orange Rooms in Bedford Place hosting bands.
Last year the festival attracted more than 25,000 venue visits.
A Classical Concert will take place on Sunday afternoon with a performance by The City of Southampton Orchestra.
This year the concert will take place in the NST City’s (Nuffield Southampton Theatre) new theatre opposite Guildhall Square.
