Motorists in West End are being warned not to leave valuables in their cars after a spate of thefts in the area.
The warning comes just seven days after police urged extra vigilance as thieves targeted five cars in Eastleigh and Hedge End.
In these latest incidents the thieves have been tampering with locks and smashing windows to steal car stereos and satnavs.
Over the weekend two cars parked in Torridge Gardens, a Peugeot 106 and a Citroen, both had their locks forced, with thieves stealing a stereo from the Citroen.
During the same period stereo equipment was also stolen from a Peugeot 106 parked in Lynn Close, after thieves smashed the driver's window.
On Monday at around 3.30pm, the door of a Nissan van in West End Road was forced and a holdall was taken.
Later that day at 9pm, thieves smashed the window of a Mini in Chalk Hill, stealing a satnav.
