A MAN has died just days after being attacked outside a Hampshire bar.
John Bookham, 26, was assaulted on Sunday night. He was taken to hospital but after receiving treatment for concussion he was discharged.
Yesterday he collapsed at his home in Grange Road, Gosport, and was rushed to hospital where he died shortly after arrival.
Police have arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of manslaughter, and a 31-year-old on suspicion of affray. Both men are from Gosport and are now helping police with their enquiries.
Officers are now urging anyone who saw the altercation, outside the Waterfront Bar on Gosport High Street at around 11.40pm, to get in touch.
A post mortem to discover what caused Mr Bookham's death is due to take place this afternoon.
