PASSENGERS were forced to stand in a toilet for three hours on an overcrowded train from Hampshire to Wales.
Four men and a dog were crammed into the cramped loo for the journey from Romsey to Cardiff.
Now charity worker Phil Taverner, who was one of the passengers, is reporting rail firm First Great Western to the Health and Safety Executive.
He has been backed by Romsey MP Sandra Gidley, who says the company should have its franchise taken away if it does not improve.
Phil said: "The train was already full and standing by the time it got to Romsey, so my only option was to stand in the toilet.
"At times a few determined people desperate for the toilet squeezed through, but as there was no way any of us could leave the cubicle, they had to use it while we looked the other way.
"One middle-aged lady had to suffer the indignity of going to the toilet in a small room full of men because there was nowhere else for us to stand."
Mrs Gidley said: "Unless promises are delivered and immediate improvements made, I shall be pressing for an early end to the franchise."
A First Great Western spokesman said: "We regret the overcrowding but do not have unlimited supplies of rolling stock or crew."
