POLICE are searching the waters around Southampton as they step up their hunt for a missing man.
Hampshire police say its marine unit has been called in to assist the search for missing Godfrey Mukondo.
The team has been out in the Town Quay area of Southampton today.
It comes after an appeal was launched to find the 41-year-old, who hasn't been seen since the early hours of Christmas Day.
Godfrey was last seen leaving CoCo Bar and Lounge in Town Quay at around 4.30am.
Family and friends have not seen nor heard from Godfrey since and are very concerned for his welfare.
Godfrey is described as being black, around 6’2” tall and of average build.
He was last seen wearing a flat cap with a dark coloured jacket and white top underneath.
A Hampshire Police spokesperson said: "Were you in CoCo Bar and Lounge on the night of Christmas Eve? Do you remember seeing the man in the CCTV image? Did you see him leave?
"Perhaps you were in Town Quay in the early hours of Christmas morning and remember seeing Godfrey walk away from the nightclub?"
