DRIVERS using three Hampshire motorways are being warned about a spate of roadworks starting today.
Schemes on the M27, the M271 and the M3 will result in lane closures, speed restrictions and diversions.
One of the projects will take place at junction 3 (Southampton) of the M27 and the M271.
Work to resurface a section of the M271 northbound and parts of the roundabout will result in roads being shut between 9pm and 6am for five nights.
The closures will involve the eastbound and westbound exit slip roads at junction 3 of the M27, the M271 northbound from junction 1, and the M271 southbound from the A3057 Romsey Road roundabout to junction 3 of the M27.
Diversions will be in place via Totton and the A326, the A3057 and the A3090.
Work on a long-running project to replace the Romsey Road bridge near junction 3 of the M27 will continue next week, with a temporary 50mph speed limit remaining in place.
A scheme to convert the M27 into a smart motorway between junctions 4 (Southampton) and 11 (Fareham) also continues next week.
Drivers using the M27 are also being warned that work to maintain the central reservation safety barrier will take place between junctions 11 (Fareham) and 12 (Portsmouth).
Lane closures will be in place in both directions between 9pm and 6am for five nights from Monday.
Drainage surveys will take place on the M3 at Eastleigh.
The northbound exit and entry slip roads at junction 13 will be closed between 9pm and 6am for four nights from Monday.
Highways England says clearly-signed diversions will be in place via adjacent junctions.
