THE team behind Southampton's popular live music venue Heartbreakers are set to launch a second city venue this weekend.

They hope XOXO, in Bedford Place, will become a top brunch spot.

The venue will also act as a late night bar and serve open sandwiches at lunchtime and small plates in the evening, as well as boasting a separate 150 capacity space for private parties and corporate events upstairs.

As well as a team of resident DJs, XOXO will host occasional live music events.

All are welcome to pop in to the launch event on Friday.

Local promoter Tom Dyer opened Heartbreakers, which has gone on to host some top home-grown and national touring bands, in July 2017.

On his latest venture, he told the Daily Echo: "We've seen a gap in the market in Southampton for while for somewhere to have really good quality brunch, so this is the aim for XOXO.

"We often visit other cities in the UK and further afield and they are swarming with top spots to eat brunch.

"We have an incredible team of chefs on board and have been preparing this food offering over the last few months. We are very excited for people to see it!

"Heartbreakers has been fantastic and really grown past our expectations in the last 18 months, XOXO will have some similarities but also offer something completely different to Heartbreakers."
