FIREFIGHTERS from across Hampshire were called to to a large ship fire at Southampton Docks last night.
The incident involved a ship carrying around 7,000 tonnes of scrap metal.
Teams from St Marys, Redbridge, Eastleigh, Gosport, Cosham, Botley and Southsea were called to the scene at around 9.14pm.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Fire and Rescue said: "We haven't had a full update yet, but we believe the team will be scaling it back soon. The fire is contained and under control thanks to crews working throughout the night."
