A RUGBY team took part in a yoga class to celebrate the opening of a maze at Westquay.
The attraction in Southampton is now open and players from Trojans Rugby celebrated by trying something a little different.
First XV players took a break from the scrums and reconnected with their spiritual sides. The yoga session, hosted by local yoga guru, Bridget Pallas, is the first in a series of treehouse yoga sessions, which are open for the public and run from today to 2nd June.
The free maze is open every day from 10am – 7pm until 2nd June and visitors who navigate their way to the centre of the maze will discover spectacular views across the Esplanade, as well as selfie opportunities.
Andy Collyer, General Manager at Westquay said: “We want Westquay to be recognised as a destination not just for great retail, dining and leisure but for experiences that are truly unique, exciting and offer fun for all the family.
“Shoppers loved exploring The Maze last year with over 34,000 taking part in the action, so we’re thrilled to be bringing it back to the esplanade, this time with the addition of the urban treehouse. “
The Maze also hosts a range of other activities in the Urban Treehouse, including arts and crafts, meeting cool creatures with Mad4Animals, enjoying free samples with Bill's Tree house Takeover, Laings Treasure hunt and Lewis & Partners Teddy Bear's Treehouse.
