A LARGE group of travellers have parked up in a Hampshire park.
The group, which has around five caravans and several other vehicles, are located in Lakeside Country Park in Eastleigh
Cars have also been seen driving around the field.
According to Hampshire Police, the gathering is an "unauthorised encampment".
A spokesperson for Eastleigh Borough Council, said: "The Council is aware of an unauthorised encampment on an area of public open space at Lakeside Country Park.
"Council officers have visited the encampment on Thursday morning to request that the travellers leave the site. We are continuing to monitor the situation.
"The Council will follow its normal procedure for dealing with unauthorised encampments."
The groups arrival comes just days after another large group of travellers set up camp in a Hampshire park on Greta Park recreation ground in Upper Northam Road, Hedge End.
