IT IS the festival that fashion forgot, but it’s enjoyed another unforgettable year in Southampton.
There was big hair, neon clothes and leg warmers as far as the eye could see as the retro festival took over the Common once again.
Let’s Rock Southampton 2019 enjoyed a headline set from 70s and 80s hit maker Billy Ocean with Get Outta My Dreams, Get Into My Car and Caribbean Queen for its sixth incarnation.
The day included an array of retro hits including a hit packed half hour from Belinda Carlisle with Heaven is a Place on Earth and Circle in the Sand.
Organisers, who brought the likes of Erasure’s Andy Bell, Shalamar and Black Lace to the event, have promised more retro fun in 2020.
