CELEBRATE National Burger Day with this round-up of the best burger joints in Southampton according to our readers.

Last month, we invited readers to vote for their favourite place. 

Readers cast their nominations before the results went to a vote. The nominations included specialised burger shacks as well as general restaurants.

Burger lovers voted in their masses - each of them eager to have their perfect patty producer crowned as Southampton burger champion.

As voted by you, the reader, the overall winner was Burger Bodega - burger specialists operating out of The Robin Hood pub, Sholing.

Owner Sarah Savage said: "We're so new, so little, so artisan - it's great to have won this!

"We started the business with just £200 and it's going really well. The money was meant for rent - but we took the gamble and it paid off.

"Our customers have been amazing. We couldn't have done it without them and their support"
