EMERGENCY services have rushed to battle a house fire early this morning.
Four engines tackled the blaze which broke out at a semi-detached home in Ripstone Gardens in Highfield.
Crews from St Mary's, Red Bridge and High Town fire stations spent almost three hours on the scene.
The first floor and roof of the building was reportedly damaged during the fire.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Services received an emergency call at 4.30am today with the stop message coming in at 7.28am.
No one was injured and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
