HAMPSHIRE all-rounder Liam Dawson will be playing for Southern Brave alongside Andre Russell, David Warner and Tymal Mills when The Hundred gets underway next summer.
Dawson joined James Vince as one of two Hampshire players in the Southern Brave squad when he was snapped up for £100,000.
Head coach Mahela Jayawardene was joined by manager Giles White and adviser Mark Nicholas during last night’s Draft, having already signed Jofra Archer, Vince and Chris Jordan.
First to be picked was West Indies star Russell. He was followed by Australia batsman David Warner, another player with vast franchise experience.
Teenage Pakistan leg-spinner Shadab Khan will also be playing for the Ageas Bowl franchise alongside Ollie Pope, Worcestershire all-rounder Ross Whiteley and Delray Rawlins.
Surrey and England batsman Pope has been signed as one of The Brave’s wicketkeepers, with Alex Davies the other.
Jofra Archer is looking forward to playing alongside Sussex teammate and fellow West Indian Rawlins, a powerful left-handed batsman and useful slow left-armer.
The Brave’s awesome pace attack also includes back-up in Craig Overton and Sussex’s George Garton and they have a leg-spin option in Somerset’s Max Waller.
Meanwhile, Hampshire duo Kyle Abbott and Mason Crane were both signed by Lord’s-based London Spirit, who are managed by Shane Warne and Dimi Mascarenhas, while Chris Wood went to the Oval Invincibles, as did Reece Topley.
Wow! Thanks for all your kind messages. I can’t wait to get started and I’m so excited that I get the chance to work with @ShaneWarne !!! #LondonSpirit https://t.co/Ue20DoNJeu

Former Hampshire star Danny Briggs went to Welsh Fire.
Jayawardene: "We managed to get the Sussex pace attack together just hoep the Caribbean boys don't party too hard.
"We missed a couple of the Hampshire lads but over all we have a good balance and left-right combinations in top order with pace and spin."
SOUTHERN BRAVE: Jofra Archer, Andre Russell, David Warner, Liam Dawson, James Vince, Shadab Khan, Chris Jordan, Tymal Mills, Ross Whiteley, Delray Rawlins, Ollie Pope, George Garton, Alex Davies, Max Waller, Craig Overton.
Gutted to have missed out on the draft for the hundred. But really happy for those who got picked up, especially some of the good guys who I've played with over the years. The teams look super strong and it's going to be great to watch. #TheHundred #wildcard? 🤗 pic.twitter.com/Fd9Zc0QFgZ
