WITH Halloween screams still fresh in our minds – and ears – the Daily Echo takes a look back at an activity centre which has been the home of many a shriek over the years.
For decades youngsters have enjoyed the wail-inducing thrill of riding roller coasters and log flumes at Paultons Park, Ower.
Originally named Paulton’s Park and Bird Gardens, gates were first opened to the public on May 17, 1983.

Things were very different when the park was in its infancy - no more than four staff were needed. The park consisted only of an adventure playground, museum, birds and animals.
Things have changed dramatically over the years and the park now packs more than 70 rides and attractions. Five of those on the 140-acre plot are roller coasters and six of them water rides.

Peppa Pig World proved to be a hit since opening in 2011, attracting young visitors from far and wide.
With an Americana themed world opening next year, the park’s popularity is likely to soar like never before
The pictures in the gallery above show the park being enjoyed over the years. Are you among them?
