PLANS for 182 new homes in Whiteley have been approved.
Woodlands Chase, a development by Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties, will feature a selection of two to five bedroom properties, alongside 27 affordable homes available for rent and shared ownership.
Part of the larger consortium site of Whiteley Meadows, which comprises Taylor Wimpey, Crest Nicholson, Bovis Homes and JGP Lakedale, Woodlands Chase will feature play areas, open spaces and public art, whilst creating a quiet yet friendly community for new and existing homeowners in the area.
Initial plans were submitted earlier this year.
As part of the application, which has been accepted by Winchester City Council, Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties will make contributions of more than £13m to services, facilities and infrastructure in the Whiteley community.

It’s key that we’re build a sustainable development that will continue to thrive for many years to come.”
Work is likely to commence at Woodlands Chase in January 2020.
