A 15-YEAR-OLD boy was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in relation to an incident in Southampton this morning.
Police were called to reports of an assault in the Lindsay Road area of Thornhill.
A 17-year-old was taken to hospital in a serious condition after sustaining a stab wound.

A Hampshire Police spokeswoman said: "We were called at 6.15am today (Sunday 19 January) to reports of an assault in the Lindsay Road area of Thornhill.
"On arrival, officers found a 17 year-old boy with a stab wound. He is currently being treated in Southampton General Hospital and is in a serious condition.
"A 15 year-old boy from Andover has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He remains in police custody at this time.
"There will be increased police patrols in the area today so if you have any concerns, please come speak to our officers.
"Anyone who witnessed anything suspicious or has any information is asked to call 101 quoting Operation Tint or 44200022434 .
"Alternatively people can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where information can be left anonymously."
A significant police presence remains in the neighbourhood this afternoon.
Officers are manning a large cordon that runs around the residential area, including Hinkley Road.
Residents reported seeing a host of police cars at the scene this morning along with the ambulance service.
