FORECASTERS have warned of strong winds throughout the weekend.
A weather warning has been issued for most of the county for between 6pm on Saturday and midnight on Sunday, with gusts of up to 80 miles per hour possible in coastal areas.
Officials at the Met Office said there may be some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport.
"Coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities may be affected by spray and large waves," the official said.
"There is a small chance that some roads and bridges could close.
"There is also a slight chance that power cuts may occur, with the potential to affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage."
Heavy rain is also expected on Sunday.
However, until Friday, the weather looks set to stay dry and sunny, with highs of around 8c, forecasters say.
