IT IS the tour that brought the ex-girl band member back to the stage for the first time in two years.

Having first found fame in girl band Eternal, Louise Redknapp kicked off her solo performance in Southampton with a dazzling set that brought her new album Heavy Love to life.

Fans watched on in awe as the solo singer showcased a selection of her greatest hits.

The intimate gig at The 1865 was well-attended by fans, who were seen enjoying the authenticity of her slowest tracks and then bobbing their heads in unison when the high-tempo songs came to light.

The Light Of My Life singer particularly wowed the audience when she sang lead single Stretch, proven to be a top hit with the fans having shot straight to Number One on the iTunes video chart.

With the soulful atmosphere building up as the concert played on, the room glowed in purple tones in a way which perfectly reflect the personal lyrics which talk about her marriage break-up.

The first stage of her tour held in Southampton certainly brought a sense of excitement to the city, to kick off her album tour when Louise will bring her talents to ten other UK venues.

With an accompanying band supporting her during the entirety of the show, it was complete with sparkly dance floor tunes and not to forget R&B track Hammer which had everyone dancing on their feet.

The 2016 Strictly Come Dancing finalist did not fail to ensure her fans were not short of one beautiful note in every single song.

And as the night drew to a close, smiling faces filled with heart, music and soul left the venue and piled out onto the Southampton streets after saying their goodbyes.

Louise will perform in Cardiff on Saturday for the next show of her UK Heavy Love tour.
