A MOTORCYCLIST has been rushed to hospital after an accident on a Hampshire motorway.
Police were called to the westbound entry slip road of the M27 at junction 7 near Hedge End at 10.11am this morning.
The accident involved one motorbike and the road was closed as a result.
The motorcyclist was taken to hospital by ambulance and their injuries are described as serious at this time.
Police are at the scene and motorist are being ask to approach the area with caution.
A police spokesperson said: ""We were called at around 10.11am this morning following a report of a single vehicle incident involving a motorcycle on the slip road at Junction 7 of the westbound M27 near Hedge End.
"The slip road was closed as a result."A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital by ambulance. The rider's injuries are described as serious at this time.
"If anyone witnessed what happened or caught it on dash cam, please get in touch by calling 101 and quoting Operation Parade."
