A HAMPSHIRE motorway is closed after a person was hit by a car this morning.
A person was hit by a vehicle at around 4.20am in a serious collision, according to police.
The M27 westbound is now closed between J3 near Nursling and J2 near Ower.
Traffic officers are on the scene managing traffic.
Meanwhile, motorists are being urged to allow extra time when travelling.
Diversions are in place northbound towards Romsey.

A police spokesperson said: "We are currently dealing with a serious road traffic collision on the M27 where a pedestrian was in collision with a vehicle at around 4.20am (Fri 10 April). The westbound carriageway is currently closed between J3 and J2."
