ONE MAN has died and another has been serious injuries after a car crash on New Forest road.
The accident involving a Vauxhall Astra happened on the Fawley Bypass at around 8pm last night.
A 30-year-old man from Blackfield was rushed to hospital while a 40-year-old man from Wimborne in Dorset was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses reported seeing at least ten people cars at the time as well as two police helicopters circled overhead.
According to South Central Ambulance Service, two ambulances, the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance critical care car and a rapid response vehicle were sent to the accident site.
A police spokesperson said: "We were called just after 8.30pm on Sunday night (April 26) to a single-vehicle collision on the B3053 Fawley bypass involving a Vauxhall Astra. A 40-year-old man from Wimborne, Dorset, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 30-year-old man from Blackfield was taken to hospital after suffering serious injuries. Enquiries into the exact circumstances of the collision are ongoing."
Witnesses are urged to call police on 101.
