THIS picture of a VE Day children’s party took place in Eastleigh, we do not know the exact date of the picture, but it was most likely on or around VE Day.
In the picture is my mother in law, Patricia Noyce (her maiden name, she is also still with us). She is about ten years old at the time and is the fourth little girl sitting on the bench on the left of the picture, with a child wearing a hat sat on her knee.
At the time her family lived in The Crescent, Eastleigh, but we do not believe that the picture was actually taken there but in a nearby road.
