A ROAD has been reopened after a car crashed into a tree.
A man was pulled from his vehicle after crashing into a tree on Winchester Road.
Police closed the B2177 between Stroudwood Lane and Mortimers Lane following the incident at around 6am today.
Officers remained on the scene carrying out investigations for most of the morning.
Fire crews from Eastleigh and Bishop's Waltham Fire Stations were also called to cut the man from his car.
Motorists were urged to avoid the area and take alternative routes.
However, police have now confirmed Winchester Road is open.
A police spokesperson previously said: "We are currently dealing with a single-vehicle collision on the B2177 Winchester Road, resulting in a closure at the junctions with Mortimers Lane and Stroudwood Lane."
