A MAN accused of causing death by careless driving in Southampton is to appear at crown court.
Luke Andrew Bates is alleged to have caused death by driving without due care or consideration while over the specified limit of a controlled drug.
The 33-year-old, of Mansergh Walk, Totton, faces charges which include failing to stop after a road accident, drug driving and driving without insurance.
He is said to have been driving a BMW 320i on Mountbatten Way during an incident on June 30 last year.
Bates is due to appear at Southampton Crown Court on September 11.
