A SOUTHAMPTON man caught carrying ketamine and cannabis spat at and kicked a police officer.
Nathaniel Christopher Hemy was caught carrying a wrap of ketamine and a quantity of cannabis on August 31.
The 22-year-old was caught driving on Weston Road while disqualified from driving on the same day, and he refused to provided a blood specimen to police to determine whether he had committed a driving offence.
On the same day, of three separate occasions he assaulted a police officer by kicking and spitting at her.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, Hemy pleaded guilty to seven offences.
Hemy, of Portswood Road, Southampton, was committed to prison for 26 weeks and disqualified from driving for 26 months.
He was also ordered to pay compensation of £150 and court costs of £85.
