THE BOY acquitted of murdering a Southampton teen has been given a 12-month referral order for the possession of a bladed weapon.
The 15-year-old was found not guilty of murdering James Laurie, 17, at Winchester Crown Court in August.
However, he previously pleaded guilty to the possession of a bladed weapon.
The boy who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Portsmouth Youth Court today for sentencing where was given a 12-month referral order.
James died following an incident in Lindsay Road, Thornhill, on January 19 this year.
