A dispersal order has been put in place by police in Knightwood after reports from residents.

The section 35 order was put in place as of 2pm today (October 9) after reports of anti-social behaviour in the area.

It will last 48 hours and is due to end at 1.59pm on Sunday, October 11.

This follows another dispersal order that was put in place last weekend in the same area with a councillor claiming youths were taking drugs, vandalising and littering on the site.

A Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson said: "We can confirm that there is a dispersal order in place for the Knightwood area of Valley Park.

"Our officers will continue to monitor this area as part of their routine patrols during this time. Any individual not adhering to the dispersal order may be ordered to leave the area by officers.

"Please note the order can be reinstated at any time, without delay, on the authority of an Inspector if it is deemed necessary and justified."
