A CHARITY that offers respite holidays for disabled people and carers has appointed its new CEO.
Revitalise Respite Holidays is a national charity that also has a base in Netley.
It is the UK's largest specialist provider of respite breaks and has now announced that Jan Tregelles, who has been working as Chief Executive Officer on an interim basis, has now accepted the role permanently.
Since joining nine months ago, Jan has negotiated an agreement with the NHS allowing patients from local hospitals to recover at the charity’s centres, freeing up hospital beds for COVID-19 patients and in September, spearheaded the launch of the Revitalise #CareForCarers campaign.
Jan said: "I am thrilled to accept the role and to continue the charity’s vital work. In my short time here, I have seen the enormous impact Revitalise has.
"For over 57 years it has been a lifeline to thousands of families, and they need us now, more than ever.
"I shall relish the opportunity to steer Revitalise through these challenging times and beyond, so we can emerge stronger, more resilient and able to support families when they need us most."
