RINGWOOD School said a second member of its school community has tested positive for Covid-19.
It comes a day after the school wrote to parents to make them aware of an initial case.
The school said the two cases are “unrelated” and said it is considered an “isolated” case.
In a statement, Ringwood School said: “We can confirm that Ringwood School have been informed of two unrelated positive cases of COVID-19 within the school community.
“Two separate bubbles within the school have been affected.
“The school have been in close contact with the Department for Education and Public Health England, and those students identified as ‘close-contacts’ have been provided with remote learning and sent home to self-isolate.
“The school remains open and operating as normal to all other students."
A letter sent to parents reads: “We have been made aware of a member of our school community who has tested positive for COVID 19.
“Please note that this is unconnected to yesterday's case and as such, it is considered an isolated case by our local public health team.”
