A STORAGE provider has launched a charity pledge to collect donations for foodbanks.
Mobile Mini UK, a provider of portable storage solutions has launched the pledge at 16 nationwide branches including its site in Southampton.
The aim is to open a container at each location for staff and the public to give donations of food and other items, which will then be donated to a local foodbank.
The Southampton branch will be collecting items for Southampton City Mission, and donations will be accepted from now, ready to be handed over by Christmas.
Managing director, Andrew Thompson said: “With a branch network covering the whole of the UK, and easy access to storage facilities, we’re planning on collecting thousands of square feet worth of food and other items to give to those in need.”
Donations can now be delivered to the container at Mobile Mini’s depot on East Road at the Marchwood Industrial Park.
