The knitted toys may not help boost charity funds.
Today I feel sad and disappointed. Why?
Well since the lockdown I've kept myself busy knitting toys.
A charity shops are included in the many stores that have had to close I thought I would try to raise money - perhaps a window display with them would help.
So when I found out I had made 19 I got ready to take them to the charity shop.
How wrong I was.
The greeting - no thanks, can't take them, they're a fire hazard.
And yet in the October issue of Yours magazine had a knitting pattern for giraffes "would make a lovely gift".
It also had a picture of a lady knitting dinosaurs for a Christmas stall.
Help, I'm confused and feel sad that all my efforts, at 87 years old, were all in vain.
