Letters have been handed out to a 'small' number of pupils who have been in contact with the individual and who now need to isolate for 14 days.
Headteacher, Mrs G Montague wrote in the letter to parents: "We know that you may find this concerning but we are continuing to monitor the situation.
"The school remains open and your child should continue to attend as normal if they remain well."
A spokesperson for the school declined to comment when approached by the Echo.
